Developments in Social Psychology


My favorite subject of this semester is Developments in Social Psychology. I enrolled in this course at the "Universidad Católica" and it has been a great experience.

We always have to prepare two papers by means of commentary, and during the class, we discuss the documents. The interesting thing is that the studies we read in the articles are recent or in fact very complex and novel, so you can learn about the advances in applied social psychology.

The discussions with the mates and professors are very powerful, I always leave very excitedly and happy about this class. The professors are well known in the area of Social Psychology and in the topic of social movements, but my favorite teacher is Gloria Jimenez, she is a great teacher, very proactive and young. I would like to be like her, always attentive to listening, with much knowledge and experience and a great vibe.

We have seen issues such as the emergence of social psychology, social cognition and moral cognition, collective actions, gender, prosocial behavior, which are topics of high relevance at present. Each one addressed from the level of analysis of intergroup relations. It has been a great journey on this subject.

    Hi Adri, I think it's an interesting area of ​​psychological discipline and I share it with you, though from another epistemological base. I very much agree that the discussion between classmates is very enriching, I have had the same experience and sometimes it even brings more than just listening to a teacher.

When i was a child, i dream with works in a big company and be a CEO. Post 1* Something about me

I´m from Colombia, i moved to Santigo to study a Phd in Psychology. I really like Santiago, is very nice and safe. There are many places to visit, the dessert is my favorite place until now, the landscape is so different to what i know.  In this year i´m learning all kinds of things, like new and different food such as crudo, curanto and porotos granados. The seasons are very interesting as the winter is really cold, see the snowy cordillera of the chilean Andes and the colors of leaves in the fall.  For  my birthday, in august , i would try going to Rapa Nui, is a dream go there to see the ancestral culture. All this experience have a bad side because i had to leave my family, i miss them a lot. I have two beautil sisters, Angie and Laura, they are younger than me. Burger Nation

My favorite food is the hamburger, I love the variety of flavors that you can generate by combining different ingredients, integrating as basic very good meat and fresh bread. I tried different types of hamburgers, however, I don´t like american cheese so I try to change it. Recently I tried Carl's Jr. hamburgers, and I loved them, good taste, fresh ingredients and good price, they combine a bit of fast food with gourmet style. I think the type of hamburger that I like the most should have juicy meat, soft and fluffy bread and mozzarella cheese but those of pork are winning  a place in my heart. In the University I usually bring homemade food, but this semester I have been very lazy so I ask for deliverys or as somewhere near the university, I prefer sushi, burritos, or microcafé lunches.
